Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is positioning itself to become a major global aviation hub within the next two years, fueled by increasing international passenger traffic and significant infrastructure upgrades, according to a senior official from Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL).
Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of DIAL, stated that the airport is making steady progress toward meeting key global benchmarks in terms of passenger volume and international connectivity.
“IGI Airport is well on track to meet the traffic and network requirements essential for a global hub,” Jaipuriar said.
Operated and managed by DIAL, IGI Airport has become one of the busiest airports in the region and is undergoing continuous expansion to support its ambitious growth trajectory.
