The event witnessed the participation of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Tourism and Culture Minister Jayveer Singh, as well as Lok Sabha members Lallu Singh and Kirit Premjibhai Solanki.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya on December 30. IndiGo, commencing services between Ayodhya and Delhi on January 11, is set to operate thrice-weekly flights between Ayodhya and Ahmedabad. Additionally, the airline plans to initiate operations on the Mumbai-Ayodhya route starting January 15.

The Ayodhya airport, spanning 6,500 sq. mtrs. and currently capable of handling 600 passengers during peak hours, is slated for expansion. The second phase of development aims to increase its capacity to accommodate 3,000 passengers. Minister Scindia highlighted plans for further expansion, including the extension of the runway, enabling the landing of larger aircraft and facilitating international flights in the future.
