Wings of Change: Inside India’s ₹30,000-Crore Aviation Revolution

India’s aviation ecosystem is on the verge of a massive transformation. With an estimated ₹20,000–30,000 crore government investment slated for the next decade, Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu has laid out an ambitious growth roadmap. Key milestones include launching India’s first commercial seaplane service in Lakshadweep, establishing Bhogapuram Airport as an eastern economic hub, and scaling at least five domestic airlines to 100+ aircraft fleets. Furthermore, the completed design of the indigenous 19-seater SARAS aircraft signals India’s shift toward becoming a global powerhouse in aircraft manufacturing and design.
