Schneider Electric has unveiled its next-generation fully integrated “cell-to-grid-to-cell” battery energy storage system (BESS) at the Schneider Electric Innovation Summit India 2026.
The new solution is designed to deliver predictable and revenue-generating energy storage capabilities while strengthening grid resilience. As India rapidly expands its renewable energy capacity and emerges as one of the world’s leading clean energy producers, the battery-agnostic and PCS-forward platform is aimed at supporting the growing need for flexible and intelligent power management systems.
The integrated platform combines utility-grade electrical infrastructure with advanced digital technologies, including Energy Management Systems (EMS), Distributed Energy Resources Management Systems (DERMS), and Microgrid Control solutions. Built as a finance-ready and bankable asset, the system incorporates Front-End Engineering & Design (FEED) and cyber-secure architecture to help reduce implementation and operational risks for utilities and industrial customers.
Through ETAP-based tools, the solution also enables real-time optimisation, predictive maintenance, and improved operational efficiency, positioning energy storage as a long-term value-generating asset. With this launch, Schneider Electric aims to accelerate India’s energy transition by delivering scalable, localized, and digitally enabled solutions that support grid stability in a low-carbon energy ecosystem.
