TVS ILP Drives Expansion with Rs 1,500 Crore Push into Smaller Cities

TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks (TVS ILP) is poised to make a substantial investment of Rs 1,500 crore in the upcoming fiscal year, aiming to extend its reach into burgeoning smaller cities such as Siliguri, Guwahati, and Indore.

As part of its strategic vision within the TVS Mobility Group, the Mumbai-based company is strategically planning to establish a warehousing solution approximately every 400 km in the eastern region. The initial phase of the Siliguri facility, covering an expansive area of five lakh sq. ft., is slated for completion in August 2024 and will be positioned just four km from the Bangladesh border. The choice of Siliguri is strategic, given its proximity to four countries—China, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.

TVS ILP is also actively pursuing the establishment of a facility in Agartala, located near the Bangladesh border. Simultaneously, the company is set to inaugurate its inaugural facility in Central India at Indore, with the first phase anticipated to conclude by August of the current year.

Presently boasting 10 million sq. ft. (msf) of warehousing space, the company is ambitious about expanding this capacity to 13 msf by the conclusion of the next fiscal year. TVS ILP has already left its mark in 13 cities and is committed to penetrating five to six new cities annually. As part of its eastern market expansion, the company is making inroads into top markets like Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Cuttack, and is gearing up to enter Siliguri and Guwahati, both of which collectively hold the potential to contribute one msf to its burgeoning warehousing network.
