Gensol Electric Vehicles (Gensol EV), a subsidiary of Gensol Engineering, has established a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Chakan, Maharashtra, with an annual production capacity of 30,000 units. The company is poised to begin production of its flagship electric reverse trike in February 2024.
The electric reverse trike, acquired through the acquisition of EV startup Strom Inc, features a two-seater design and an impressive range of approximately 200 km. Priced around Rs six lakh, the vehicle will cater to both personal and ride-hailing applications, with the latter being deployed on BluSmart's platform.
Gensol's commitment to electric mobility is evident in its investment of Rs 150 crore in setting up the Chakan manufacturing facility. This investment underscores the company's belief in the potential of electric vehicles to revolutionize transportation.
