Mahindra EV Arm MLMML Eyes Doubling Capacity to 6 Lakh Units

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility (MLMML), the commercial electric vehicle subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra, is actively evaluating strategies to scale its annual production capacity from three lakh units to six lakh units over the next two years.

Operating across existing manufacturing hubs in Telangana, Karnataka, and Uttarakhand, the company has experienced high capacity utilization—particularly at its primary plant in Zaheerabad, Telangana. This aggressive push to double manufacturing output is driven by surging demand in India's commercial EV sector, where electric vehicle penetration in the L5 three-wheeler category is rapidly nearing 50 percent. Highlighting this momentum, MLMML surpassed a milestone of four lakh cumulative electric vehicle sales.

The planned infrastructure expansion is designed to solidify MLMML's market leadership, optimize its supply chain network, and accommodate long-term volume growth ahead of its anticipated public market listing.
