Mahindra & Mahindra’s Chakan manufacturing facility has officially reached a production milestone: its three-millionth vehicle. The landmark unit, a fully electric BE 6 SUV, highlights the plant’s strategic shift toward next-generation mobility. Since its inception in 2009, this 657-acre hub has grown into a powerhouse, producing 19 models and over 450 variants. The speed of production has accelerated significantly, with the most recent million units manufactured in just 27 months—a stark improvement from the 107 months required for the first million. Driven by Industry 4.0, AI, and extensive automation, the Chakan plant remains a cornerstone of Mahindra's commitment to efficiency and global competitiveness.
