Tata Drives EV Revolution: 5 Vehicles in 18 Months!

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) has unveiled an ambitious plan to introduce over five innovative products in the coming 18 months, leveraging its cutting-edge electric vehicle architecture, 'acti.ev'.

In a recent announcement on January 5, 2024, TPEM revealed that the inaugural product under this initiative will be the electric variant of its compact SUV, Punch, aptly named 'Punch.ev'. The versatile acti.ev platform is poised to underpin a diverse array of offerings in TPEM’s lineup, featuring different body styles and sizes to cater to various consumer preferences.

The acti.ev platform sets itself apart with a refined battery pack design, providing an array of range options spanning from 300 km to an impressive 600 km. Offering flexibility, it allows for front-wheel, rear-wheel, and all-wheel drive configurations. Notably, acti.ev supports both AC and DC fast charging capabilities, boasting an impressive 150 kW charging speed. This facilitates the addition of approximately 100 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Designed with the future in mind, acti.ev incorporates a robust structure that aligns with anticipated safety standards, including Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP protocols. Moreover, the platform is equipped to accommodate multiple body styles and is prepped for level two advanced driver assistance systems, positioning TPEM at the forefront of innovation in the electric mobility landscape.
