ZF India Powers Up Heavy Trucks with New 9-Speed Transmissions

ZF India has entered into a strategic partnership with a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer to supply its advanced 9-speed manual and automated manual transmissions (AMTs) for trucks in the 1,300 Nm torque class.

As part of the agreement, ZF will provide its EcoMid and EcoTronic Mid transmission systems, engineered specifically for trucks exceeding 25 tonnes. These transmissions are designed to enhance fuel efficiency, performance, and long-term reliability in demanding commercial vehicle operations.

Manufacturing is underway at ZF’s state-of-the-art facility in Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra, aligning with the increasing demand from Indian truck OEMs for higher engine torque capabilities.
