Chambal Fertilisers Fires Up New Nitric Acid Plant in Rajasthan

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Limited has commenced production of weak nitric acid at its Gadepan manufacturing complex in Kota, Rajasthan, marking a significant step in strengthening its integrated fertilizer production capabilities.

Weak nitric acid serves as a key intermediate in the manufacture of complex fertilizers and various chemical products. The commissioning of the new facility is expected to enhance operational efficiency by ensuring a reliable in-house supply of this critical raw material, supporting the company’s broader manufacturing operations at the Gadepan complex.

The development aligns with ongoing efforts to improve supply-chain resilience within India’s fertilizer sector and support the country’s agricultural productivity objectives. In addition to meeting internal requirements, the facility may also create opportunities for supplying weak nitric acid to other fertilizer and chemical manufacturers in the region, thereby strengthening industrial linkages and improving supply security across the agri-input value chain.
