Godrej Industries' Chemicals Division has acquired the food additives business of Savannah Surfactants for Rs 76 crore, marking a strategic move to expand its global footprint in the food and beverages sector and strengthen its position in the speciality chemicals space.
Savannah Surfactants, headquartered in Goa, operates a manufacturing facility with a capacity of 5,200 MTPA. Its operations will now be integrated into Godrej’s chemicals business, enhancing its portfolio of food-grade chemical solutions.
This acquisition aligns with Godrej’s long-term strategy to scale its speciality chemicals business and build capabilities in high-growth, value-added segments. Entering the food additives space allows Godrej to diversify its offerings and tap into a sector with strong global demand.
