Kesar Petroproducts has begun commercial production at its new fertiliser manufacturing facility in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. With an annual capacity of 6,000 tonnes, this marks a strategic diversification into the high-end fertiliser segment.
The facility leverages by-products from the company’s pigment manufacturing processes, enhancing operational efficiency and contributing to topline growth. This integration is also expected to indirectly boost pigment production capacity by improving resource utilisation and enabling vertical integration.
Kesar Petroproducts currently produces approximately 600 tonnes/month of Copper Phthalocyanine Blue Crude, 150 tonnes/month of Alpha Blue, 200 tonnes/month of Beta Blue, and 50 tonnes/month of Pigment Green. These colourants serve key industries such as printing inks, coatings, plastics, paper, textiles, ceramics, glass, food, and cosmetics.
The launch of the fertiliser line not only diversifies the company’s product portfolio but also reflects a forward-looking growth strategy, reinforcing its position as an innovation-led player in the specialty chemicals sector.
