Ice Make Refrigeration Expands Horizons with Gujarat PUF Mfg Plant

Ice Make Refrigeration Limited is initiating a Polyurethane Foam (PUF) Manufacturing Unit in Dantali, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, with an estimated investment of Rs. 1.10 crores. The plant targets a production capacity of 14,252 square meters of polyurethane foam per month, focusing on applications in building and appliance insulation. The potential product offerings include rigid PUF panels, spray foam insulation, and pipe insulation, aiming to cater to the growing demand within the Indian PU foam market, projected to expand at a 6.5% CAGR between 2023 and 2028.

This venture seeks to support local construction and appliance industries by providing locally-sourced PUF, reducing reliance on imported materials and boosting market competitiveness. Moreover, it is expected to create employment opportunities and contribute positively to the regional economy, while promoting energy efficiency and sustainability through enhanced insulation practices.

However, the project faces challenges, including competition within the established PUF market, fluctuations in raw material prices impacting profitability, and the need for stringent environmental management due to potential hazards associated with PUF production. To delve deeper into the project's specifics and market potential, direct contact with Ice Make Refrigeration Limited or exploration of industry-related news articles and press releases pertinent to Gujarat's construction and appliance sectors would be advantageous. Understanding the current PUF consumption and production capacity within the region will provide a comprehensive understanding of the project's potential impact on the local PUF market.

As on January, 2024. The project has begun the stage of receiving approvals. Clearances were obtained for the project. Work on the project is scheduled to begin in March of 2024.
