Tanfac Industries, a leading Indian fluorine chemicals manufacturer, has successfully commissioned Phase II of its 5,000 TPA (AHF basis) Solar Grade Dilute Hydrofluoric Acid (DHF) plant on 6 October 2025, following successful trial batches that met stringent customer quality benchmarks.
This follows the commissioning of Phase I in June 2025, also with a capacity of 5,000 TPA, bringing the company’s total Solar Grade DHF capacity to 10,000 TPA (AHF basis). With this, Tanfac remains the only Indian chemical company to have commissioned a Solar Grade DHF production facility, underscoring its leadership in high-purity fluorine-based chemicals for clean energy applications.
Director Afzal Malkani described the milestone as a strategic boost to revenue and profitability, positioning Tanfac to support the rapidly growing solar manufacturing sector.
Tanfac Industries is a joint venture between Anupam Rasayan India and TIDCO, operating from a 60-acre facility in the SIPCOT Industrial Estate, Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu.
