Alba Drugs: Pioneering Healthcare Advancements in Gujarat

Alba Drugs & Labs is building a 100-ton-per-month Bulk Drug & Intermediates production factory in Bhavnagar, Kheda district, Gujarat. Investing ₹5 crores, this effort aims to increase pharmaceutical production capacity in the region to meet rising demand for bulk medicines and intermediates. Alba Drugs & Labs' devotion to the pharmaceutical industry and local industry is shown by the project.

This massive project will use water from the Ganeshgadh Gram Panchayat Water Supply, assuring reliability and sustainability. The plant will need 88.56 KL/Day, including 39.56 KLD of fresh water and 49.0 KLD of recycled water. The company's recycling of MEE (Multiple Effect Evaporator) condensate shows its dedication to sustainability and environmental protection.

Alba Drugs & Labs plans a thorough program to manage its 59.33 KL/Day wastewater. An Effluent Treatment Plant treats 57.73 KLD from process wastewater and other effluents after processing 52.38 KLD from the process through a solvent stripper. Primary treatment, MEE, and ATFD (Agitated Thin Film Dryer) will ensure the ETP meets strict environmental criteria.

Alba Drugs & Labs' resource conservation is shown by recycling 49.0 KL/Day of treated effluent into plant operations. Additionally, 0.55 KL/Day of scrubber wastewater will be utilized in the plant or sold to Rule-9-authorized end users, highlighting the project's sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The facility uses a 1.5 TPH boiler, a 2 Lakh Kcal/Hr thermic fluid heater, and a 250 KVA D.G. set. These installations ensure the plant functions efficiently, reliably, and meets all environmental criteria. Alba Drugs & Labs' new Gujarat project expands its manufacturing capacity and shows its dedication to sustainability, efficiency, and Indian pharmaceutical sector growth.
