GSFC’s Next Big Move: Expansion Approved at Sikka!

In a major step toward operational self-reliance, Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC) has announced Board approval for new Phosphoric Acid (PA) and Sulphuric Acid (SA) plants at its Sikka unit in Jamnagar.

The strategic expansion will feature a 600 MTPD Phosphoric Acid plant and an 1,800 MTPD Sulphuric Acid plant, supported by dedicated utility and offsite infrastructure. By reinforcing GSFC's backward integration capabilities, the initiative will secure critical chemical inputs for downstream fertilizer and chemical production—optimizing supply chain resilience, improving operational efficiencies, and supporting the company’s long-term growth trajectory.
