Umika Multichem plans to set up Bulk Drugs & Intermediates Manufacturing Unit Project in Gujarat

Umika Multichem wants to start a new bulk drug intermediates (BDI) project in Indrad, Mahesana, Gujarat. The project is still in the planning stage, and the company has not yet asked for environmental clearance. The BDI project that is being planned will be able to make 86.3 Tns per month. The cost of the project is 5 Crores. 

The company will make BDIs for drugs like antibiotics, drugs that fight cancer, and drugs that help people with diabetes. About 100 people will get jobs directly from the project, and another 200 will get jobs indirectly from it. The project should help the region's economy grow and help meet the country's rising demand for BDIs.
