KKR to Invest ₹6,000 Crore in Petronas' Gentari India

KKR has announced plans to invest more than ₹6,000 crore in Gentari Renewable India, bolstering the clean energy platform of Malaysia-based Petronas. This strategic investment is designed to scale Gentari’s renewable portfolio and green hydrogen capacity across the country. Building on key milestones—such as the 2025 acquisition of a 1.6 GW portfolio from Brookfield—Gentari will utilize the funds to back its existing joint ventures with partners like ReNew and AM Green, driving long-term growth in India's energy transition sector.
