DMR Hydroengineering & Infrastructures, in collaboration with Fichtner Germany, has secured an engineering consultancy contract for the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the 1,950 MW Aruna Pumped Storage Project (PSP) in Maharashtra.
Awarded by THDC India Ltd., the contract is valued at ₹8.82 crore and is to be completed within 13.5 months from the date of award. DMR Hydroengineering will serve as the lead partner, leveraging Fichtner’s global expertise to deliver a comprehensive and technically sound DPR.
The Aruna PSP is expected to play a key role in strengthening Maharashtra’s renewable energy and storage infrastructure. It will help manage peak electricity demand, enhance grid stability, and support the seamless integration of intermittent sources like solar and wind power—making it a critical step toward a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
