Jammu & Kashmir Calls for Bids: Lal Ded Hospital Construction Up for Grabs!

The Public Works Department (PWD) of Jammu & Kashmir has announced the invitation of bids for the construction of an additional gynecology block at Lal Ded Hospital in Srinagar. This initiative is a part of the Jammu Tavi Flood Recovery Project, aiming to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the region.

The contract encompasses the design, construction, and Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) for the remaining work under Part-1 of the project. The total value of the project is estimated at Rs 82.4 crore, reflecting the significant investment being made to improve medical facilities for women in Srinagar.

The construction of the additional gynecology block is expected to be completed within a tight timeframe of five months. The project will be executed on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode, ensuring a streamlined and efficient approach to meet the urgent healthcare needs.

Interested contractors and firms are encouraged to participate in the bidding process. The PWD has set the due date for bid submission on 04 July, 2024. This call for bids presents an opportunity for capable entities to contribute to a vital public health initiative.

This development is part of a broader effort to upgrade healthcare services and infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir, particularly in the aftermath of the recent flood recovery efforts. The new block at Lal Ded Hospital is expected to significantly bolster gynecological and obstetric care in the region.
