Get Crowned in India: Abhinandan Lodha & Leela Unveil 5 Regal Getaways

Realty developer Abhinandan Lodha Group, in collaboration with its esteemed hospitality partner, the Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts (owned by Brookfield Group), is set to embark on a significant venture, investing over Rs 2,000 crore to establish five opulent hotels in India's heritage and cultural cities. The proposed locations include Ayodhya, Varanasi, Vrindavan, Shimla, and Amritsar.

In a strategic partnership, the Lodha Group and Leela Palaces will join forces to create a luxury modern palace hotel near the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. This grand establishment, situated on a five-acre land parcel along the banks of the Sarayu River, is designed to encapsulate the essence of Indian culture. The inauguration of this landmark property is scheduled for this month. The theme of Indian culture will be a common thread woven into the fabric of the other hotels within the Lodha Group's portfolio.

The Ayodhya luxury hotel, comprising 100 keys, is anticipated to necessitate an investment exceeding Rs 450 crore and is projected to be fully operational by March 2028. Similar substantial investments are expected for the remaining four hotels in the proposed portfolio. Notably, the Ayodhya hotel is an integral part of the broader development initiative known as 'The Sarayu,' spanning 51 acres. This expansive project encompasses residential plots, villas over 31 acres, and high-rise luxury apartments over 15 acres.

Under the terms of the partnership, the Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts will not only contribute to the design and development of the Ayodhya property but will also share joint ownership of the hotel. The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) had previously announced its ambitious plans to invest over Rs 11,000 crore in acquiring and developing land parcels across the country within the next three to four years. This investment will involve plotted developments and land investments. Headquartered in Mumbai, Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts presently operates twelve properties in major cities and leisure destinations across India.
