A New Era for Mehrauli: ₹135 Crore Boost to Transform Civic Life

On 31 January 2026, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched a series of development projects worth over ₹135 crore aimed at upgrading civic infrastructure in the Mehrauli Assembly constituency.

These initiatives mark a significant step toward the constituency’s rejuvenation, addressing long-standing infrastructure needs. The Chief Minister’s Office highlighted that, for the first time, the Delhi government has allocated sufficient funds to ensure timely and comprehensive execution of development projects across all constituencies. Planned upgrades include road reconstruction, renovation of chaupals and community buildings, construction of public toilets, park beautification, installation of children’s swings, and new open gym equipment for residents.

The Chief Minister assured that these improvements would ease traffic movement, enhance public safety, and improve the overall quality of life. The development plans also prioritise a modern hospital, multi-level parking facilities, and upgraded sports amenities to further strengthen the constituency’s civic infrastructure.
