On January 22, 2024, the inauguration of a new Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital unit in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam, marked a significant milestone. The ceremony was led by Pachipala Doraswamy, a partner from Brandix India, who expressed admiration for the hospital's state-of-the-art facilities. Recognizing the Trust's dedication to preventing blindness and addressing eye ailments through awareness and services, Doraswamy commended their efforts.

The Gajuwaka Centre is well-equipped with fully functional operation theaters, comprehensive treatment options, and investigative services, ensuring it meets the diverse eye care needs of the local population residing in the industrial area of Gajuwaka.

During the inauguration, Doraswamy also highlighted Sankar Foundation's commitment to extending its services within the community, with the goal of achieving national standards in eye care management. Emphasizing the foundation's role in the elimination of avoidable blindness, he underscored their ongoing efforts to serve society effectively.
