On January 19, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant milestone by laying the foundation stone for eight projects under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) in Solapur, Maharashtra, with a cumulative worth of approximately Rs 2,000 crore. During the event, he dedicated over 90,000 completed houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-Urban) in Maharashtra, with an additional 15,000 houses from the Raynagar Housing Society benefiting a diverse group, including handloom workers, vendors, and power loom workers.

As part of the program, the Prime Minister initiated the distribution of the first and second instalments to 10,000 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM-SVANIDHI) scheme in Maharashtra. This initiative focuses on providing loans and modern equipment to support MSMEs, complemented by the One District One Product Scheme.

The Prime Minister shared updates on infrastructure development, indicating the imminent completion of the four-lane highway connecting Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, and Solapur.
