ANIIDCO plans Eco Tourism Resort in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The proposed initiative by the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation Limited (ANIIDCL) involves the establishment of an eco-tourism resort at Lalaji Bay, located in Long Island, within the North & Middle Andaman region of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The primary objective of this project is to advance the principles of sustainable tourism within the region, with the ultimate goal of establishing a destination that is internationally recognized for its commitment to ecological preservation and attracts a discerning clientele of environmentally conscious travellers. The projected cost of the project is 379 crores.

As on November 2023, The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. By the end of the year 2023, development on the project will have begun.
