JSW invests 210 crore for Museum of Solutions in Mumbai

The JSW Group has made a significant investment of ₹210 crore to establish the Museum of Solutions (MuSo), a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering the art of problem-solving, particularly tailored as an interactive children’s museum.

Located in Mumbai's bustling commercial hub of Lower Parel, MuSo spans an impressive 1 lakh square feet across seven floors. It's specifically designed to engage children from the age of 3 years and upwards through a diverse array of exhibitions, activities, interactive learning experiences, and engagements.

MuSo adopts an innovative educational approach, encouraging hands-on exploration and playful learning methods to offer an engaging and enriching experience for children and their families. To make this experience accessible, MuSo is offering 50% subsidized tickets priced between $400 to 600 per student. Collaborating with local schools, MuSo aims to host over 250 school groups annually.

Moreover, MuSo plans to introduce various membership options, including long-term plans and discounted packages for young children and their families, covering monthly, quarterly, and annual visits.

In pursuit of its goal to empower children, MuSo aims to establish the MuSo Changemakers Council. This council will comprise a diverse group of Mumbai’s young individuals aged 11-14 years, selected for leadership training, engaging in discussions on youth-related challenges, and advising the museum on strategies, programs, and policies. The recruitment for council members will be through an open call for participation in 2024, and the inaugural council will serve during the 2024-25 academic year.

Tanvi Jindal Shete, the Founder of MuSo, envisions the museum as a platform to empower young children as changemakers, fostering hands-on activities and self-directed learning to stimulate their natural curiosity.

MuSo's core focus is on enabling children to embrace the process of learning from failure and perseverance. The museum seeks to equip children with the necessary knowledge and skills to make meaningful contributions to global welfare.
