MoD and AICPL Seal Rs 586 Crore Pact for Tank Power Units

The Ministry of Defence has partnered with Pune-based Accurate Industrial Controls (AICPL) for a Rs 586 crore contract to supply Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) for the Indian Army’s T-72 and T-90 tanks. Signed in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, the agreement introduces reliable backup power systems that function while main engines are off. This initiative enhances operational readiness, strengthens mechanised formations, and marks a major milestone for indigenous defense manufacturing under the Make-II framework.
