Transformers and Rectifiers (India) (TARIL) has secured its maiden order from the nuclear power sector, marking a strategic expansion beyond its traditional utility and renewable energy segments.
The company will manufacture and supply Generator Transformers for the Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) Kaiga Units 5 & 6 project located in Karnataka. Awarded domestically by Megha Engineering and Infrastructures (MEIL), the contract supports power evacuation for two indigenous 700 MWe nuclear reactors. Entering India’s heavily regulated nuclear supply chain represents a major milestone, credentials from which are expected to position TARIL strongly for future tenders within the expanding domestic nuclear fleet.
This venture into the nuclear segment diversifies TARIL's order book, establishing a foothold in a specialized, high-margin market.
