Vikran Engineering has won a Rs 153.76 crore contract from the Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) through domestic competitive bidding. Secured for the 400 kV AIS Extension Substation Package SS-136T, the project aims to strengthen transmission systems at Tumkur-II to integrate 2.7 GW of renewable energy. The project will be executed over 21 months across separate supply and service contracts, reinforcing Vikran’s footprint in India's high-voltage power transmission sector.
