HBL Engineering Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of on-board Kavach loco equipment (Version 4.0).
The contract, valued at ₹1,714 crore excluding GST, involves the deployment of the indigenous Kavach train collision avoidance system across locomotives. The scope includes equipment supply, system integration, installation, testing, and commissioning to support the implementation of advanced railway safety infrastructure.
This major order reinforces HBL Engineering’s position in the railway safety and signalling sector and aligns with Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to enhance operational safety through the nationwide rollout of Kavach technology. The project is expected to contribute significantly to the company's order book and strengthen its presence in the rail transportation technology segment.
