Krystal Solar Energy SPV, an associate of Krystal Integrated Services, has secured a long-term rooftop solar project from the Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Maharashtra.
The contract involves the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, synchronisation, operation, and maintenance of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems across government hospitals and medical colleges in the state. The project will be implemented under a built-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) model.
Valued at approximately ₹138 crore, the project will span 25 years and cover multiple rooftop sites. It is expected to support the adoption of renewable energy within public healthcare infrastructure while reducing reliance on conventional power sources.
Under the BOOT framework, the developer will own and operate the assets throughout the contract period before transferring them to the government at the end of the term, ensuring long-term accountability and operational efficiency.
Krystal Integrated Services holds a 49% stake in the executing entity, strengthening its presence in the renewable energy space. The order reflects increasing adoption of distributed solar solutions in government infrastructure and highlights the role of long-term public-private partnerships in advancing India’s clean energy transition.
