MEDAS Secures Major 500 KLPD Distillery Project with NSL Sugars

MEDAS EnggDesign (MEDAS), a leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company specializing in distillery, brewery, and food processing solutions, has secured a major contract from NSL Sugars for the development of a new distillery facility.

The project will be executed at NSL Sugars’ Jay Mahesh Unit in Mazalgaon, Beed district, Maharashtra. Under the agreement, MEDAS will serve as the technology, engineering, and equipment partner for a state-of-the-art distillery plant with a planned capacity of 500,000 litres per day. The facility will use a combination of sugarcane syrup and grains as feedstock.

This large-scale plant is expected to significantly enhance NSL Sugars’ ethanol and renewable energy portfolio, contributing to the government’s broader ethanol blending and clean fuel initiatives.

With a strong track record in delivering complex EPC projects, MEDAS is positioned to ensure timely execution and high operational efficiency. Industry analysts view this contract as a reaffirmation of MEDAS’ role as a key player in India’s rapidly expanding distillery sector.
