PES Engineers Secures ₹470 Crore Tel River Project in Odisha

PES Engineers has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for the construction of an in-stream storage structure (ISS) at Kukedmal across the Tel River in Bolangir district.

The project scope includes hydro-mechanical works, power connectivity, and detailed survey, investigation, planning, design, and estimation for all project components. In addition, the selected contractor will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facility for five years or five flood seasons—whichever is longer—after the successful commissioning of the project.

Odisha Construction Corporation Limited (OCCL) declared PES Engineers as the L1 bidder after the company submitted a successful bid of ₹470.33 crore.

The project is expected to improve water storage capacity and strengthen flood management in the region, contributing to more efficient water resource management in Odisha.
