L&T Energy, has secured a substantial contract from ONGC

Larsen & Toubro's hydrocarbon division, L&T Energy, has secured a substantial contract from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract awarded by ONGC is for the Daman Upside Development Project-Wellhead Platforms & Pipelines (DUDP-WP). This project involves the installation and commissioning of four wellhead platforms, a 140-km pipeline, and associated topside modifications at the Tapti Daman block in the Western offshore region.

The value of the contract falls within the range of Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore, categorizing it as a large order for L&T. L&T's hydrocarbon business spans the entire value chain, including oil and gas processing, petroleum refining, and chemicals & petrochemicals sectors. This latest project underscores L&T's continued involvement and expertise in the offshore oil and gas sector.

The DUDP-WP project is expected to significantly enhance infrastructure at the Tapti Daman block, contributing to ONGC's operational capabilities in the region. L&T's successful bid highlights its strong capabilities in executing complex offshore projects and its role as a key player in India's hydrocarbon sector. The contract includes crucial activities such as platform installation, pipeline laying, and modifications to existing facilities, crucial for optimizing production and operational efficiency in offshore environments.
