Polycab Powers Bihar: ₹3,000 Crore Bharat Net Revolution

Polycab India has entered into an agreement with BSNL as the Project Implementation Agency (PIA) for the Bharat Net project in the Bihar Telecom Circle under Package No. 7. The scope includes designing, supplying, constructing, installing, upgrading, operating, and maintaining the middle-mile network.

The contract, valued at ₹3,002.99 crore, comprises ₹1,549.66 crore for capital expenditure, ₹929.79 crore for operating expenditure on the newly constructed network, and ₹523.53 crore for the existing network.

The project is set for completion over three years, followed by a 10-year maintenance period. Maintenance costs are structured at 5.5% per annum of capex for the first five years and 6.5% per annum for the subsequent five years.
