REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has initiated a request for proposals aimed at developing a groundbreaking 200 MW ground-mounted solar power project in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. This endeavor marks a significant step towards bolstering Uttar Pradesh's renewable energy capacity and advancing the nation's clean energy goals.
The tender guidelines outline an extensive scope of work for prospective bidders, encompassing the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 200 MW AC solar project. Additionally, successful bidders will be responsible for comprehensive operations and maintenance for a period of five years, ensuring the project's long-term viability and performance.
To participate in the bidding process, interested developers are required to furnish an earnest money deposit of Rs 35 million, demonstrating their commitment and financial capability. Furthermore, developers must submit a performance security equivalent to 5% of the total contract value, underscoring the importance of adherence to contractual obligations and project delivery standards.
These solar projects will be implemented through a package that includes engineering, procurement, and construction, following a rigorous domestic competitive bidding process. Modules utilized in the projects will adhere to the most recent Approved List of Models and Manufacturers, ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards.
