Ceigall India Limited (CIL), in a joint venture with SAM India Builtwell Pvt. Ltd. (SAM), has been declared the L-1 bidder by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (JMRCL) for a major civil construction package under Jaipur Metro Phase-II. The bid was submitted through a joint venture in which Ceigall India holds a 74 per cent stake, while SAM India Builtwell holds the remaining 26 per cent.
The scope of work includes the design and construction of an elevated viaduct and 10 elevated stations as part of the Jaipur Metro Phase-II Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS). The stations covered under the package are Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate, and Pinjrapole Gaushala. Architectural finishing works are excluded from the contract.
The project alignment extends from chainage –600 metres to 11,400 metres and also includes the construction of a spur line leading to the metro depot.
The total bid value for the project is ₹918.04 crore. The project is expected to significantly contribute to the expansion of Jaipur’s urban mass transit infrastructure under the Phase-II metro development.
