Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for a project awarded by South Eastern Railway for the supply, installation, and commissioning of an IP-based video surveillance system in LHB coaches.
The scope of work includes the installation of a four-camera video surveillance system in compliance with Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) specifications. It also covers the supply of rugged handheld terminals or tablets and 8 TB external solid-state drives. The systems will be deployed in LHB coaches in accordance with the latest RDSO standards.
The contract is valued at ₹87.56 crore, excluding GST. The project is intended to enhance passenger safety and security across trains operated by South Eastern Railway.
