The South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced a significant project to upgrade the electric traction system on the Muri-Ranchi-Tori section of the Ranchi Division. The project aims to enhance the current system from 1X25 kV to a more robust 2X25 kV traction system.
This ambitious upgrade, valued at Rs 77.85 crore, is essential to meet the increasing demand and achieve a 3,000 MT loading target. The comprehensive scope of work includes the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the new system.
Bidders are invited to submit their proposals by the closing date of July 23, 2024. The project has a strict completion timeline of 24 months, reflecting the urgency and importance of the upgrade for the region's railway infrastructure.
The Muri-Ranchi-Tori section is a critical part of the SER network, and this enhancement is expected to significantly boost operational efficiency and capacity.
