Nagaland Rising: MoRTH Bids for Dungki Road Upgrade!

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has initiated the process for the upgradation of a significant road in the Peren district of Nagaland, with the project being funded under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for the fiscal year 2023-24. This project focuses on enhancing the road segment from Mhainnamtsi to Heningkunglwa, passing through Dungki and Lamhai within the district. The objective is to improve connectivity and transportation efficiency in this region, which is expected to boost local development and accessibility.

The upgradation work is scheduled to be executed over a period of 24 months, reflecting the project's complexity and the need for meticulous planning and execution. A significant aspect of this initiative is the inclusion of a five-year maintenance period post-completion, ensuring the road remains in optimal condition and serves the community effectively. The project's estimated cost stands at Rs 23.91 crore, underscoring the government's commitment to enhancing infrastructure in this part of Nagaland.

Prospective bidders for this project must adhere to the submission deadline, which is set for 04 July, 2024. This timeframe allows for thorough preparation and ensures that only well-prepared proposals are considered. The initiative is poised to bring substantial improvements to the region’s infrastructure, promising better road quality and sustained maintenance, ultimately contributing to the overall development and welfare of the local populace.
