Green Light for UP! NLC India to Build 110 MW Solar PV Plant

NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) for the development of a 110 MW (AC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power project in Uttar Pradesh.

The solar project will supply renewable power to NCRTC’s Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor, supporting its objectives for sustainable urban development. Awarded to NLCIL through a competitive bidding process, the project will be implemented in captive mode and will include the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the solar power plant.

The project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months from the signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA). NCRTC, a joint venture of the Government of India and participating state governments, is actively promoting the use of renewable energy to reduce its environmental footprint and build an efficient, sustainable urban transport network.
