Jupiter International has secured an investment of Rs 300 crore from the ValueQuest SCALE PE fund to bolster its solar cell manufacturing capabilities amidst India's growing demand for solar energy and to accelerate its growth trajectory.
This strategic infusion will be utilized to enhance the company’s existing solar cell capacity and to establish new module manufacturing operations. Plans include developing a 1.8 GW solar cell and a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility.
Additionally, Jupiter International has formed a joint venture with AmpIn Energy to develop an integrated solar cell and module capacity of 1.2 GW each.
Currently, Jupiter International operates a manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, with a production capacity of 800 MW. The company is set to significantly upscale its operations by setting up new facilities, positioning itself to meet the increasing demand both domestically and internationally.
