Purvah Green Power has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from CESC to develop a 300 MW solar PV power project, marking a pivotal move in CESC’s renewable energy expansion efforts. The project is a significant step towards advancing solar energy production in India.
Out of the total 300 MW capacity, 150 MW will be developed under a tariff-based competitive bidding system in India, while the remaining capacity will be executed under the greenshore option. This diversified approach ensures a balance between competitive pricing and sustainable energy generation.
The project will be governed by a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that will remain in effect for 25 years, starting from the scheduled commencement of power supply. This long-term agreement reflects a strong commitment to clean energy and provides a reliable revenue stream for Purvah Green Power over the contract period.
Classified as a contract, the award highlights Purvah Green Power’s growing role in the renewable energy sector. This project strengthens CESC's focus on increasing its renewable energy portfolio, furthering its operations in generation, transmission, and distribution of power.
Overall, this project is expected to contribute to India’s renewable energy goals while enhancing the capabilities of both Purvah Green Power and CESC in the solar energy domain.
