RMC Switchgears has clinched a significant order worth Rs 86.48 crore in Gujarat, marking its second major venture into the solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) business. The project entails the supply and installation of solar equipment, a 220 kV substation, and a five-kilometer transmission line for a 25 MWac ground-mount solar plant with a single-axis tracker in Bhuj.
This new order highlights RMC's swift expansion within the renewable energy sector. The company first ventured into the solar EPC market with a 1.35 MWp solar power plant in Rajasthan. Now, RMC is leveraging its expertise in electrical infrastructure to solidify its position in the green energy domain.
RMC's commitment to innovation and sustainability aligns with India's ambitious target of achieving 450 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. The company's efforts in the renewable energy sector are expected to contribute significantly to this national goal.
The move into solar projects not only helps in reducing carbon emissions but also creates job opportunities and stimulates economic growth. By advancing its renewable energy initiatives, RMC is playing a crucial role in positioning India as a global leader in green technology.
This latest order is a testament to RMC's dedication to expanding its footprint in the renewable energy sector, ensuring a sustainable and economically robust future for the country.
