Waaree Energies Lands Solar Panel Contract in Rajasthan

Waaree Energies (WEL) has clinched a significant contract from Juna Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of ACCIONA Energy, to supply bifacial solar modules for a major project in Rajasthan. The project, located in Kawani village, Bikaner district, boasts a capacity of 412.5 MWp or 335 MW and is set to be operational by March 2025.

The utility-scale solar plant will feature Waaree's high-efficiency P-type bifacial modules, each with a capacity ranging from 540 to 545 Wp. These modules will be mounted on horizontal single-axis trackers, designed to maximize energy output by optimizing light absorption and tracking capabilities.

This initiative by Juna Renewable Energy marks a significant stride toward India's renewable energy goals, aiming to foster a sustainable and low-carbon future. The solar facility is projected to generate clean electricity, thereby contributing to reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability in the region.

Waaree Energies, founded in 2007, has emerged as India's largest manufacturer of solar PV modules, boasting a total installed capacity of 12 GW as of June 30, 2023. The company operates four state-of-the-art solar module manufacturing facilities in India and maintains a robust international presence.

This contract underscores Waaree Energies' commitment to providing quality and cost-effective sustainable energy solutions, furthering its mission to mitigate the global carbon footprint through renewable energy innovation.
