Bihar’s ₹3,516 Cr Vision: Temple Revamp Meets River Linking

In a major push for regional development, the Bihar Cabinet—under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary—has sanctioned a massive Rs 3,516.05 crore package.

A significant portion of this funding (Rs 2,520 crore) is dedicated to giving Gaya’s sacred Vishnupad Temple a world-class makeover inspired by Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. Travelers and pilgrims performing Pind Daan can look forward to seamless connectivity and modern amenities like multi-level parking, dedicated ramps, pedestrian bridges, and enhanced ghats implemented by the Bihar Rajya Path Vikas Nigam. Complementing this cultural overhaul is the Rs 996.05 crore Son-Falgu River Linking Project, designed to strategically route water from the Sone River via an 11-kilometer pipeline network.
