Jakson Green Wins NTPC Order for Innovative Ethanol Plant

Jakson Green, a prominent player in the new energy transition sector, announced a major achievement on Wednesday. The company has secured an order from NTPC, a leading state-owned entity, to establish a cutting-edge plant in Chhattisgarh. This facility at Lara is set to produce 10 tonnes per day (TPD) of 4G ethanol using flue gases emitted from power plants.

In a press release, Jakson Green highlighted the plant's pivotal role in leveraging advanced carbon capture technology from Veolia Carbon Clean. This technology will enable the extraction of 25 tonnes per day (TPD) of CO2 from the flue gases, marking a substantial reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

The project represents a significant step towards sustainable energy solutions, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change. By transforming flue gases into ethanol and capturing CO2 emissions, the plant exemplifies innovation in environmental stewardship and resource efficiency.

According to industry experts, this initiative underscores India's commitment to fostering green technologies and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. It is expected to set a benchmark in the renewable energy sector, showcasing the potential of integrating industrial processes with environmental sustainability.

With construction slated to commence soon, stakeholders anticipate the Lara plant to become a model for future developments in renewable energy and carbon management. The collaboration between Jakson Green and NTPC is poised to drive further advancements in India's transition towards a greener and more sustainable future.
