Daya Sugar Limited is embarking on an expansion into the distillery sector with a molasses-based distillery unit project located in Adharhedi Musapur, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. With an investment of 86 Crores, the project is designed to produce 60 kilo liters of ethanol per day, marking a significant step towards bolstering the company's portfolio in the renewable energy and biofuel sector. This initiative aligns with the national push towards ethanol-blended petrol, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and dependency on imported crude oil.
The strategic selection of Adharhedi Musapur for this project leverages the area's abundant supply of molasses, a by-product of sugar manufacturing, which is a key raw material for ethanol production. This ensures a steady and sustainable supply chain, enhancing the project's viability and sustainability. Additionally, the location benefits from strong logistical links, facilitating easy distribution of the final product to markets and blending facilities across the region.
The distillery is designed with state-of-the-art technology to ensure efficient production processes, high-quality ethanol output, and minimal environmental impact. The project includes the implementation of sustainable practices such as water recycling, waste management, and emissions control systems. These initiatives underscore Daya Sugar Limited's commitment to environmental stewardship and align with global sustainability goals.
