Corn Revolution: Cargill & Saatvik Plant Opens in Madhya Pradesh

Global food giant Cargill, in partnership with Saatvik Agro Processors, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art corn milling plant in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, to meet rising domestic demand. The facility will initially produce 500 tonnes per day of starch derivatives, with the capacity to scale up to 1,000 tonnes per day.

Combining Cargill’s global expertise with Saatvik’s local manufacturing capabilities, the plant ensures a consistent supply of high-quality food ingredients for the Indian market. Operating exclusively for Cargill, the facility adheres to the company’s rigorous global food safety and quality standards. While the focus remains on domestic supply, potential export opportunities may be explored in the future.

Simon George, President of Cargill India, stated, “This Gwalior plant strengthens our manufacturing network in India, enabling us to serve customers in North and West India more competitively while enhancing supply chain efficiencies across the food ecosystem.”
